A just-released statement from Jeremy Clarkson:

“I want to state very clearly that I absolutely did NOT say the word I didn’t say.
In fact I deliberately made sure I repeatedly didn’t say the word I didn’t say until I was absolutely sure I hadn’t said it.
I can say with absolute certainty that the word I wasn’t supposed to say was NOT at any time said by me during the time I was not repeatedly saying it.
And if anyone who says the word I didn’t say was said by me listens carefully to the video of me not saying the word I wasn’t supposed to say, they will very clearly hear me repeatedly not saying the word I didn’t say until I was sure I hadn’t said the word.
Which was a word not said by me and which I clearly didn’t say.
I hope this statement clears…
