A cerebral palsy sufferer was left with boot prints on his face after an ‘appalling’ assault by a gang of thugs, a court has heard.
Andrew Thornton, 25, was out walking his dog when he was attacked from behind by three men aged between 19 and 22 in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear.
He was repeatedly kicked and punched by the trio and was left unconscious in a pool of blood after the unprovoked attack in March last year, the Daily Mail reports.
Liam Chisholm, 24, was yesterday jailed for two years for his part in the attack after members of the public contacted police with information following a Facebook appeal.
